About Me

Oh hello there!

I’m Jessica and thanks for taking the time to check out my blog!

A few years ago I graduated from Biola University with a major in Sociology, an emphasis in Social Work and minor in Biblical Studies. I am so blessed to have been able to attend this school (thank you loans!) and receive great academic education while integrating my faith into my studies and my future career.

I have an amazing family that live relatively close to each other. They are so fun to be around and I am so thankful God has put them in my life. My husband and I moved out of state when we got married so we miss them tons but love Facetime!

I love eating, calligraphy, cooking, baking, creating, hiking, writing, camping, taking pictures and organizing. You will find that my blogs contain a little bit of each of these passions that I want to share with you!

I am passionate about living a life dedicated to showing God’s love. There are so many blessings from God all around us and I truly try to focus on those and have gratitude for all that I have. I enjoy making homemade gifts for loved ones and of course making homemade food! I went through quite the medical journey in college trying to find a diagnosis and the cause of all of my health symptoms. That journey is definitely not over with but I have to admit it has made me become much more interested in the food I eat. I have had to get pretty creative in what I make in my kitchen to make my body happy.

My husband Matt was kind enough to help me buy a new digital SLR camera when we were dating. This has been a dream of mine since early high school and he helped make it come true! (Thanks Matt!!) I have a beautiful camera (I haven’t thought of the perfect name yet) and I love using it during my free time to capture moments, document my food and capture God’s beauty.

I hope you enjoy looking through my recipes, photography and blogs about other randomness.
